WHAT'S NEW? / PATCH NOTES

  • — Website polish: clearer phone text, roomier links, consistent spacing, and older updates behind a toggle. Aircraft descriptions clarified; browser touch button moved clear of the flight menu title. Game versions and downloads unchanged.
  • — Cinematic loading artwork: all three splash screens now use actual in-game scenes with the HUD hidden, cinematic framing and title overlays: GRIDBOUND's race grid, DRIFTBOUND's dockyard car and Vector's Flight Simulator's coastal flyby. Browser and password-free Windows/Linux/macOS downloads updated together as 2026.11.03.5. Windows startup tested; Linux and Mac structural checks only.
  • — Custom game splash screens: GRIDBOUND, DRIFTBOUND and Vector's Flight Simulator now show their own branded artwork during loading instead of the default Godot logo. Browser loaders have matching progress bars and game icons; desktop startup uses the same artwork. Browser builds and Windows/Linux/macOS downloads updated together as release 2026.11.03.4 (GRIDBOUND 2026.11.03.4, DRIFTBOUND 0.11.2, flight simulator 0.3.6). Windows startup tested; Linux/Mac structural validation only. Password-free downloads and fictional vehicle/track names retained.
  • — Updated downloads for all three games: new Windows, Linux and macOS packages for GRIDBOUND, DRIFTBOUND and Vector's Flight Simulator, built from the current fictional-branding source. Flight simulator desktop downloads are now available for the first time. New DRIFTBOUND ZIPs are ordinary, password-free archives. Release 2026.11.03.2 includes updated versions, file sizes, SHA-256 checksums and launch instructions; older versioned files are preserved. All three Windows executables passed startup checks. Linux and Mac bundles passed structural checks only; device testing remains pending.
Show older updates
  • — Fictional vehicle branding across all three games: GRIDBOUND cars, race classes and career manufacturers now use fictional names; DRIFTBOUND selectors and vehicle lettering use fictional makes/models; Vector's Flight Simulator aircraft use the Vector Scout, Meadow, Kestrel, Arrow, Harbor and Meridian names. Vehicle shapes, liveries and handling are retained. Existing GRIDBOUND careers translate older branding when loaded. All vehicle names and liveries are fictional. Browser releases: GRIDBOUND 2026.11.03.1, DRIFTBOUND 0.11.1, flight simulator 0.3.5 / 2026.11.03.3. No desktop downloads uploaded; older downloadable builds retain their previous branding.
  • — Vector's Flight Simulator 0.3.4: Reset now reliably restores the flight's airborne, runway or water spawn using a physics-step reset, clears held touch inputs and rotation, repairs damage and replenishes missiles. Added a larger, clearly labeled Exit to Menu touch button. Browser release 2026.11.03.2; no desktop downloads uploaded.
  • — Vector's Flight Simulator 0.3.3: made phone controls easier to enable: a large Touch Controls OFF/ON browser button stays tappable above the portrait rotation prompt, and the in-game switch now sits above the aircraft list. Both switches stay synchronized; controls remain off on a fresh launch. Browser release 2026.11.03.1; no desktop downloads uploaded. Physical phone testing remains outstanding.
  • — Vector's Flight Simulator 0.3.2: added a Music Louder Than Engine (In Flight) menu setting, off by default. Enable it to raise the soundtrack and soften aircraft engines/afterburner; disable it for the existing engine-first mix. Warnings still lower the music. Turning music off restores normal engine levels, and the balance choice remains when reopening the hangar. Browser release 2026.11.02.11; no desktop downloads uploaded.
  • — Vector's Flight Simulator 0.3.1: added Coastal Evening, an original cosy ambient soundtrack with warm pads and soft keyboard notes. Music plays gently in the menu, fades quieter during flight and ducks further for stall warnings or a crash. Separate Music and SFX toggles; music pauses on focus loss. Browsers may require a click or tap before audio starts. Browser release 2026.11.02.10; no desktop downloads uploaded.
  • — Vector's Flight Simulator 0.3.0: two new selectable aircraft: a Vector Harbor with fixed floats, radial-engine sound, water buoyancy, planing, steering and water starts; and an Vector Meridian with twin turbofans, swept wings, retractable gear, a digital cockpit and heavier passenger-aircraft handling. Six aircraft now fit the hangar; keys 5/6 select the newcomers and H starts the Harbor on water. Gentle and hard water landings affect the floatplane appropriately. These are original simplified interpretations: calm-water physics, no full airliner avionics/autopilot, and no certified performance claims. Browser release 2026.11.02.9; no desktop downloads uploaded.
  • — Vector's Flight Simulator 0.2.3: added distinct synthesized engine sounds for all four aircraft, power-dependent engine pitch/volume, speed-dependent wind, jet afterburner, stall warning, rolling wheels, touchdown and impact sounds, missile launches/explosions and reload feedback. Cockpit and chase views have different engine levels. Added a Sound toggle in the main menu; hangar, mute and focus loss silence playback. Original procedural sounds, not recordings of the real aircraft. Mobile controls remain off by default. Browser release 2026.11.02.8; no desktop downloads uploaded.
  • — Vector's Flight Simulator 0.2.2: mobile controls are now an explicit toggle in the aircraft selection menu, off by default on every new launch. Your selection remains when reopening the hangar during the same session. Touchscreen detection no longer enables the controls automatically. Browser release 2026.11.02.7; no desktop downloads uploaded.
  • — Vector's Flight Simulator 0.2.1: added a fullscreen/exit button and landscape touch controls for steering, throttle, rolls, brakes, gear, flaps, camera, reset, hangar and jet weapons/afterburner. Multi-touch allows steering and throttle together; controls clear on focus loss. Portrait devices show a rotate prompt. Fullscreen uses browser support, with expanded-view guidance on unsupported iPhones. Touch input and browser layout tested; physical mobile devices have not been tested. Browser release 2026.11.02.6; no desktop downloads uploaded.
  • — Vector's Flight Simulator 0.2.0: sectional wing lift, profile and induced drag, moving control surfaces, stalls and spin-like recovery, air-density effects and distinct aircraft handling. Propeller torque, P-factor, prop wash and jet spool/afterburner affect flight. Added a runway start, landing-gear suspension, wheel braking, flaps, fuel use and hard-landing/overload damage. Preferred mouse-aim mode stays locked. Tuned prototype aerodynamics, not a certified aircraft simulation; no structural break-up. Browser release 2026.11.02.5; no desktop downloads uploaded.
  • — Vector's Flight Simulator 0.1.3: grass and soil textures, slope-blended exposed rock, sandy shore surfaces, textured boulders, bark and foliage, and worn asphalt/concrete replace flat map colors. All four planes gain painted-surface variation and panel detail; the Meadow uses a softer fabric finish. Terrain shading is smoother and texture filtering reduces distant shimmer. The selected MOUSE AIM LOCKED handling is unchanged. Browser release 2026.11.02.4; no desktop downloads uploaded.
  • — Vector's Flight Simulator 0.1.2: the previous world-referenced mouse-aim controller is now permanently selected, replacing the 0.1.1 ACRO lock at the player's request. T cannot switch modes. Manual roll, pitch and rudder still work as overrides without changing the selected mode. All four planes start and reset in MOUSE AIM LOCKED. Browser release 2026.11.02.3; no desktop downloads uploaded.
  • — Vector's Flight Simulator 0.1.1: aerobatic mode is now permanently locked on for all four planes, including launches, resets and plane changes. Removed the T mode toggle and automatic assisted-mode transitions. Space requests level recovery while staying in ACRO. Mouse pitch and roll remain unrestricted. Browser release 2026.11.02.2; no desktop downloads uploaded.
  • — Vector's Flight Simulator is live! Browser release 0.1.0 / 2026.11.02.1 adds four selectable planes, a West Coast-inspired city and industrial island, cockpit and chase views, lowered live instrument panels, right-mouse cockpit look, revised wing forces, air density, drag, engine response and torque-based controls. Full aerobatic rolls and loops remain available. The jet carries four missiles with impact effects and reload. A new flight-simulator-style game page introduces the fleet. Simplified gameplay physics and map; no multiplayer, building destruction or target-lock missiles. Browser release only: no desktop downloads published.
  • — DRIFTBOUND is live! The former Project Aisle prototype joins the game room: eight vehicles, eight maps, climbing roads and off-road sections, distinct FWD/RWD/AWD handling, tire and thruster smoke, RMB camera orbit, sound, and old-school needle gauges. Browser and Windows/Linux/macOS downloads released together as 2026.10.19.1 (game 0.11.0). Desktop ZIPs require a password to extract; transfers and browser play are public. Browser driving and Windows startup tested; Linux/Mac structural validation only. Keyboard and mouse required; arcade single-player prototype without AI or multiplayer.
  • — Website: a tiny clue added to the work-in-progress notice.
  • — Website: development notice simplified to “Work in progress.”
  • — Work in progress.
  • — GRIDBOUND: circuit layout expansion. Pinecrest GP, Harbor Loop, Windfield Circuit and Twinbridge Circuit replace the four fictional circuits, and Copperhill Ring joins the selection — ten circuit layouts in total. New layouts are compressed, softened gameplay adaptations with measured BREEZE flying laps of 41.4–43.4 seconds. Twinbridge Circuit has a separated crossover; career calendars use the new venues and oval rounds use Sunshore. All five new tracks passed full 20-car finish checks. Browser and desktop downloads updated to 2026.10.18.2. Windows startup tested; Linux/Mac structural checks only. Dense packs can still slow laps and make contact.
  • — GRIDBOUND: living career foundation. Start with €15,000 in a world of 320 persistent AI drivers and 16 championships. Real seat vacancies, pay-driver/development/paid contracts, cross-discipline moves, finances, season results, driver histories and a new career interface replace fixed promotions and reputation meters. Drivers age, move teams and retire. Previous career saves are preserved; import archives the old campaign and retains money/history with unused-seat reimbursement. Browser and Windows/Linux/macOS downloads rebuilt as 2026.10.18.1. This is the first career phase: team ownership, collector markets and the full motorsport roster are still unfinished; races remain three-lap sprints with one driving contract at a time. Windows startup tested; Linux/Mac structural checks only.
  • — GRIDBOUND: settings & mobile controls. New Settings menu with Auto and 720p–1440p resolution presets, saved preferences, and optional multi-touch steering, gas, brake, pause, recovery, camera zoom and rally handbrake. Settings pauses a race while open. Browser and all desktop downloads updated to release 2026.10.18. Physical phone/tablet testing and Linux/Mac device testing are still pending.
  • — GRIDBOUND desktop downloads! Release 2026.10.17 is available for Windows, Linux and macOS, with offline play and the latest AI updates. Get the downloads. Windows startup tested; Linux and Mac builds still need device testing.
  • — GRIDBOUND: stronger rubberbanding. Trailing AI get speed, acceleration and grip boosts to close the gap. The boost eases in traffic and fades as rivals catch you. Large packs at Ardenvale Circuit and Summit Park still need traffic improvements.
  • — GRIDBOUND: chicane driving. AI can use a straighter line through shallow chicanes and stay on the throttle when there is room. Tighter chicanes still require braking.
  • — Vector's Games now has tiny GIFs. The internet is healing.
  • — New homepage! Accidentally travelled back to 2005 while making it.
  • First game on the shelf: GRIDBOUND. Go race some cars.
